Another little mini diorama! Super quick and not t Another little mini diorama! Super quick and not too fussy, I was busy cleaning up my crafting desk ( separate to all my other benches!) lol! #maker#melbourne#papercrafter#collage#scraps#gluingandsticking#cuttingandpasting
Little bit of making on the bench this morning, th Little bit of making on the bench this morning, the one on the left is a tab, back set pendant setting from HOR, the one on the right is a hand fabricated rub over setting made by me. I’ve made slider pendants before but I’ve always slightly tapered them to help keep the stone in place. This one has straight walls and a seat, you just basically rub it over the stone like a bezel setting. I always like to challenge myself and work things out! #maker#melbourne#setter#jeweller#cz#bezel#slider#silver#gold
Exciting stuff!! So preliminary testing has me pri Exciting stuff!! So preliminary testing has me printing with my sublimation printer and transferring it onto 100% cotton using DTF hot melt powder. For my card making friends, I reckon it’s very similar to heat embossing, but the printer ink is your stamp ink, and the powder is like embossing powder?! The transparency film I had on hand definitely worked, but was a right pain to get to feed through my sub printer ( I paid $2.99 for a unopened pkt at Savers) was also very hard to tell the two “ sides” apart, buuuuttt it DOES work! I’m going to wash and dry these two test pieces, and see how they hold up, will buy some different transparency film and off I go!!! #maker#melbourne#jeweller#setter#craft#diy#tshirtprinting#sublimation#dtfprinting#excitingbreakthrough#iloathepolyester
Throwback to the end of my “ beading” journey! Throwback to the end of my “ beading” journey! This was one of the most complicated designs I ever attempted, a good range of findings and beads where difficult to find in Australia 18 years ago. This was a long way from where I started, literally glass beads on a string 😏😆 not long after this I started working with PMC, then moved onto Silversmithing.Quite the journey! #maker#melbourne#beads#beadedjewellery#gold#silver#smith#setter#teacher
Today was a Cricut craft day!! I do love my Cricut Today was a Cricut craft day!! I do love my Cricut ( both of them) 😏😆but I go through phases of using it and then don’t use it for ages. The mugs were from a new sublimation bundle at design bundles, and finally Australia have the four up card mat! How cute are those mushrooms?! #maker#melbourne#thursdayishomestuffday#studio#jeweller#crafter#papercraft#cricut#cards
Google searches for “ Cream Blush” led me to b Google searches for “ Cream Blush” led me to believe that it was readily available at numerous retail stores… either Australia is ahead, (or more likely behind the trend as usual) because I found one!!!! The only one that wasn’t in the bargain bin and quite possibly 3 years old 😑And it has things on my allergy list, so as usual I just f&$king made one. It’s gets tiresome to never find the things I would like to just purchase. But anyway, I’m working on a stick formula. And I think a lipstick DIY class is next up! #maker#melbourne#diy#cosmetics#blush#classes#colour#anycolourilike#necessityisthemotherofinvention
